Payment Settings

How to add or update your banking details so customers can pay you.

Toolbot includes the payment settings you add in this section to all paperwork that is sent out to your customers.

Manage your Payment Settings tab by clicking Settings on the main menu on the left-hand side of the Toolbot screen.

Payment Settings

Use this form to add or update your banking details so customers can pay you.

Account Name

Enter the name of your account.

Bank or Building Society

This is the name of your bank or building society. It is good to include this, as most banking apps check the receiver's bank prior to making a payment. This helps ensure your client pays to the right account.

Account Number

Enter the account number of your bank or building society account.

Sort Code

Enter the six-digit sort code of your bank or building society account.

Default Payment Terms

Select one of the following options to tell customers of your payment terms:

  • On receipt of invoice

  • 7 days

  • 14 days

  • 30 days

  • Other

If you select Other, you can then specify the number of days in the Other Payment Term (days) textbox.

The setting you choose here will be included in your invoices, and determine if invoices are Due or Overdue on the Dashboard and Invoices pages.

Accept Cheques

If you accept cheques from your customers, select the Yes option. Then, in the Cheques Payable To box, enter the name you want your customers to make out their cheques to.

By default, this option is set to No.

Click Save to confirm your changes.
