Learn how to easily create estimates and quotes for your trade business using Toolbot.

Toolbot makes it easy to create estimates and quotes in super-fast time.

Ensure you have first created your price lists of parts and materials in My Catalogue, added your Labour Rates, and created safety Certificates you issue for your trade. Customers can be added when you create an estimate or quote or, if they already exist in your Address Book, you can quickly add them.

Create an Estimate or Quote

To add a new estimate or quote, or view your existing list, from the main menu in the Toolbot screen, click Work, then Estimates & Quotes. If you have not created any jobs yet, click Create your first estimate to open the editor. Otherwise, click Create New.

To edit an existing estimate or quote, in the table of jobs, click the Edit icon on the right-hand side of the row for the item you want to edit.

This opens the Edit Estimate page, which comprises the following tabs:

Document Workflow

When you create an estimate, quote, or invoice in Toolbot, the job will pass through a workflow and have a status at each stage. Please see the Workflow page to understand each stage.
